NEW YORK, NY – Our friend Phillip Low makes beautiful hand milled acrylic sculptural pieces. He was kind enough to let us photograph him and his work in progress during a studio visit. Adopting the aesthetic of prisms and prismatic color separation, his pieces shape light in a way that is absolutely magical.
UTAH – It’s that time of year again. Here’s one from our holiday travels. Happy 2015!
MONTAUK, NY – On January 31, the Lunar New Year 2014 kicks off to celebrate the Year of the Wood Horse in the Chinese Zodiac, lasting through February 18, 2015. This year of the horse is considered an excellent year for travel. The above image — encountered near a parking lot of a convenience store — was captured while off-the-beaten path during an assignment for Condé Nast Traveller UK.
NOVA SCOTIA – Happy Halloween. While traveling from one location to the next on assignment in Cape Breton a couple of years back, we encountered Joe’s Scarecrow Village, perhaps the creepiest, yet most fascinating roadside attraction ever. Sadly, it may have closed.
BROOKLYN, NY – Summer in the city, hanging on the roof in Greenpoint.
